reality check

i guess a lot of you by now will have heard about ahmed hasan, the 17 year old boy who got stabbed and died at desbury train st yestrday abt 2pm.

i didnt know him but he was doing his a levels at heckmondwike grammar, same place i did mine just 2 years ahead of my brother. i couldn't sleep last night thinking about it and what his family must be going through having their son murdered in cold blood like that and about eid on wednesday. then i thort about the countless number of times i've used that train st to go to leeds and manchester and i suddenly rembrd when i arrived ther from cov on monday and how uneasy i felt with that gang of chavs walking behind me as i wlkd out the station.

may allah forgive him for any sins he may have had and give his family strength to cope with their loss. ameen.

andy: "zakary we got our poster presentation coming up, its worth a fair amount of this project, so what is the aim of the poster, what sort of stuff should we present, the commercial aspect or our progress to date?"

zakary: shrugs his shoulders "it is upto you...woteva U want to present"

- which i think it's great coz i reckon we should fill the entire 6ft by 3 ft poster with our favorite childhood programs, from 5 to now, showing how the genre of the programs we watch over the years changes. i reckon thts make us stand out...

but am glad the terms over, i rekon i been relatively organised this term, had a 3pm dedline today, guess wot tym i met it- 10 FUCKIN 30!!!!! Oh yeah... am on fire, i myt even pack now for bristol 2morro (goin 2 stay with zainab for a few days)! and u kno wot i realised abt mself, tht i actually like fluid mechanics and thermodynamics, but ther the only area of engineerin i like! i can actaually read a book on fluid flow or thermodynamics for a long tym wylst maintaining interest. this is quite significant for me coz i cnt read a piece of text for longer that a paragraph and maintain concentration. then it got me thinkin, if i was to go into engineerin, the area tht wud appeal to me most is engine design, tht wud hav thermo and fluid in it and i would actually like to do tht... but then i rembrd tht am shit at it lol... so bak to business management it is...

me: "zakary, i've been researching the coefficient and i can't find one suitible for the pipe, and i can't estimate it accurately, what should i do?"

zakary: "do more research"

me: "err...ok, any pointers to wer i shud research?"

zakary: "u shud read the literature"
