A quest

isn't it annoying when you get asked the same question 20 times. it could be when you meet several people in a day and they all ask (as a convo starter ) "how r u today?" or it could be more prolonged like, like a question u've answered 1000 times over a 5 year period like "so what made u do engineering?" well im the sort of person that dnt like repeating themselves so i try and come up with exotic new ways to answer the same question...

another question that keeps coming up is "what are your hobbies?" (wen u meet foreign ppl who can't speak english very well, this is one of the first few phrases they've learnt for that special time when they meet an english speaking person lol).
as annoying as this question is repeated, i couldn't help but notice that i must come accross as a pretty boring person. of course the true answer is "not a lot, watch tv, shopping, go out, gym" and thats been the truth for longer than i care to remember. in fact i noticed that i must do those things a lot when my instructor actually noticed when i wore a new pair of trainers and gym shirt! (not because i'm that disgustin and always wear the same exercise t-shirt, i have about 5 or 6 that i rotate round.. eherm.... anyways...) Soooooo i'm now on a quest to find a "hobby" so i can come up with more exotic answers, and i thought i'd document this wondrous journey...

...you see, the problem is, i'm not a very charitable, patient, enthusiastic or a particularly skilled person which makes this quest quite difficult. I decided that i shud have reached the maturity to to be charitable now.
So i worked with children, and this particular sitation sums my experience up: i was teaching a child phonics and to sound out the letter G. "g" "g" "g!" i made him repeat it 20 times looking at the letter, then i stopped, and came bak to it few minutes later and asked what sound the letter G made and he said "Juh!" ARGGHH i felt like bangin my head against a wall!!! (the stiation is more a reflection on me and my lack of patience then on the child) ...but i did gain a new found respect for my primary school teachers

Then i decided i should work with adults so i went to volunteer at a centre for adults with disabilities so i went all enthusiastic and smiling like something the sunshine threw up. It was quite active but then this old man (he had a mental disability) took a shine to me and followed me around everywhere and staring at me intently and he kept touching my back/shoulder and it just freaked me out, even more than when i was on raisa's laptop and stumbled accross an email account that had my name @google.com

And so the quest continues...
