so the world cup is upon us and if i was a betting (wo)man my money would be on argentina (or maybe brazil, i guess), the european teams have been.... uninspiring i think is the word... didnt find they played well or were entertainign to watch, unlike the brazil vs ivory coast game just now, lol at the referee with the second handball goal, i cud just imagine that convo with the player,
"u didnt handball that ball then did u??"
"Noooooo of course not, would i lie to you?"
"phew, for a minute then i thort u hand balled twice! silly me"
though at times, in the midst of all that diving i wondered wether the brazilians would make better actors, all that rolling around in pure agony just becoz they ran into someone, but ivory coast taught them a valuable lesson in diving with that poetic sending off.... ohh the drama of football...

Honeymoon
i got bak from my travels last week (went to bali, langkawi and to kuala lumpur to see our frends), we literally just booked return flights to bali for a week with 2 nights accomodation in the first 2 nights so we wouldn't be stranded... stayed in seminyak for 2 nights but it was a bit too quiet for our liking with not enough life, so we walked along the beach to legion where we found a local travel agent and booked ourselved 2 days in Ubud, which is apparently the cultural heart of bali..
there isn't really much to do in ubud excpet walk through rice fields and there is a "market" of sorts
...well now it is a market but jus the sort that sells the same tatty stuff on every stall, not the "hand made by local craftsmen" haven we had dreamed of (in fact, the plane to bali was probably the only thing that was hand made by local craftsmen)... then we walked through the famed rice fields to an "organic vegetarian restuarant" that served both meat and fish. we asked one of the other tables wots good and were assured the food was just wonderful and they recomended us wot to order. so we ordered. my order turned out to be cold vegetables in vinegar (not nice at all) which i even doubt was organic and as for shima... well... shima ordred wot turned out to be hummous and rice with a side of rice, so enough said
a day trip is more than enough to see wot ubud is all about, so we decided to ditch ubud and head to kutta, which we loved for all the reasons people hated (its busy, bustling and full of aussie surfers ;)). we chilled on the beach, went snorkeling, etc and went to lambogan, toured the island a little and just relaxed
bali itself isn't a tropical paradise with white sandy beaches or good shopping or even good food but we had an amazing time there, i guess coz we were quite close when we were in our teens then drifted apart during uni and now we picked up where we left off- being giggling immature little girls...
